    The Valuation & Survey

    There will be a property survey that will take place on your property. Unless agreed otherwise, they will book in the access via Attwoods. We will keep you updated with this process and ensure that you are notified every step of the way. If your buyer has a mortgage, a mortgage lender will need to carry out a mortgage valuation on your property to ensure it is valued at the accepted price. For any problems or questions that may arise at this point, Attwoods will be on hand to help and intermediate between you as the seller, and your prospective buyer.

    Exchange & Completion

    Once all the paperwork, including the legal contract, has been signed, completed and returned, and no other queries are outstanding, an exchange of contracts will be due. The exchange of contracts confirms the completion date and requests the money from the lender, in order to ensure completion on the set date. Exchanging contracts on a house purchase is legally binding and therefore, will always go ahead for that set date.
